2025 Maryland Chapter Professional Design Awards
The intent of the Professional Awards Program is to celebrate seminal works of Landscape Architecture built or designed in the State of Maryland and to recognize the practitioners and teams behind them. The program serves as a platform to highlight projects that demonstrate a superior quality of design and execution, garnering attention from fellow-practitioners, legislators, related disciplines, and the public at large.

Award recipients will be honored at the annual MD ASLA Awards Gala on May 6th, 2025 at the Baltimore Museum of Industry in Baltimore, Maryland.
ELIGIBILITY:
Projects are eligible for submission as long as one of the following conditions are met:

Application is made by a firm, entity, or individual with membership in the Maryland Chapter of ASLA (project may be located anywhere)

Application is made by a firm, entity, or individual with membership in a different chapter of ASLA and the project is located in the State of Maryland (excludes Washington, D.C.)

Application is made by a firm, entity, or individual that is not a member of ASLA and the project is located in the State of Maryland (excludes Washington, D.C.)
JURY:
Projects will be reviewed and evaluated by a jury from another chapter of ASLA based on the criteria described herein.

There is no limit to the number of awards that can be given in a particular category.

The jury reserves the right to move an entry into another category as they deem appropriate.
ENTRY FEES:
Maryland ASLA Members - $175 per project entry.
Member of other ASLA Chapters - $225 per project entry.
Non-members - $275 per project entry.

Award submission payments must be made by check or electronically via Zeffy and received by February 21st. Checks may be written to Maryland Chapter ASLA and mailed to the address below:

Entries will need to provide the following information as part of the application:

Firm name, address, phone number, email address, and contact person

Entry category, project name, and project location
-
High-resolution photos for chapter use
-
Communication, analysis, or research documents (optional based on category)
PROJECT PRESENTATIONS MUST STRICTLY ADHERE TO THE PROVIDED GUIDELINES AND USE THE DESIGNATED TEMPLATE. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. THE PRESENTATION IS LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 15 SLIDES, INCLUDING THE TITLE AND NARRATIVE SLIDES.
